When I first decided I wanted to work in marketing, I thought the biggest hurdle would be getting my first "official" marketing job. I believed that once I had that first role, the learning would start, the experience would build, and my career would take off from there.

What I didn’t realise and what I wish someone had told me sooner, is that you don’t have to wait for someone to give you a job to start gaining experience.
